"Fly Repellent - Very good. Long lasting and easy to use. "
Annette Perry, Peterborough

"My mare had sores on her face from flies, tried everything. Put this on and it cleared in days. Use it for cuts and scratches too. I tell everyone about it!"
Sarah Murray, Buckie

Why use Fly repellent?

  • Houseflies are seen mainly from June to October. They pass on bacteria and larvae of worms and can lead to wounds not healing
  • Biting flies can be found on pasture from June to September. They are usually only found around cattle but will also bite horses
  • Horse flies are active from late morning to the evening. They suck blood and their bite is very painful. They play a major role in spreading disease
  • Bot flies are active from June to September, laying eggs on horses legs which are licked off and migrate from the mouth to the stomach where they can cause irritation and colic
  • Midges are found around water. It is only the female midge which bites. They are active from May to October, around dawn and dusk for three hours after sunrise and three hours before dusk. Their bites cause irritating itches and if the horse is allergic the bite will cause swelling under the skin, leading to rubbing and soreness, more commonly known as sweet itch
